Ben Higton
Ben Higton is a sports performance and strength and conditioning specialist with more than seven years of experience as a personal trainer. A former semi-professional rugby player with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, he has worked with a wide range of goals, from sustainable weight loss and body composition changes to high-level athletes across multiple sports.
His coaching combines the demands of competitive rugby, formal sport science knowledge and day-to-day programme design so that training stays coherent and progressive. Whether you are building back after time away or sharpening performance for competition, the emphasis is on clear structure, appropriate loading and sessions that translate to how you move and perform outside the gym.
Ben is also a TPI Certified Level 1 golf fitness specialist. He works with golfers to improve mobility, rotational power and overall fitness for the course. His sport science background means he can analyse movement patterns and build programmes that address the physical demands of the golf swing, from hip rotation through to thoracic mobility and core stability.
Alongside in-person coaching, Ben provides workout programming as part of your journey. That ongoing plan supports accountability, keeps training varied enough to stay engaging and aligns each block of work with the results you are working towards.

What Clients Say About Ben
5.0 (41 reviews)“I have been training with Ben for over a year and I have achieved results I did not think possible. Ben is motivating, personable and an expert in his field. When working with Ben the sky is the limit.”
“I went to Ben with the key goal mainly around improving my golf game and keeping fit. We have worked on increasing mobility, increasing flexibility and maintaining strength. I often have people come up to me in the gym asking for my workouts from Ben and they are very impressed with the mobility I have achieved so far. My golf game has improved a ton since starting. I am now hitting the ball 40 yards further with my driver and my irons are compressed beyond belief leaving better control and flights.”
